Sushi Oriental

This is for all people who aren´t that much into the taste of seaweed or who would like to try and taste something new. I promised to try another kind of “sushi” and it does actually work also with ricepaper or cooked poppadums. It only needs to get sticky.

You will need:

1 sheet of ricepaper

1 carrot, blended with some curry and soya sauce like at my carrot dip

3 ready-made falafel, cut into slices

optional: some vegan cheese cut into slices

Sprinkle the ricepaper sheet with water. It will be enough, trust me. When you add the carrot dip in the center of the ricepaper now, it will moisten anyway. Add the falafel and the cheese if you want to, place onto the middle of your ricepaper. Now you have to sprinkle some more water on the ends of the ricepaper which aren´t spread with carrot. Either you cut the left and right side of the ricepaper off or you fold it to the center. Carefully (very carefully!!!) roll it up and seal at the end with some more water. Cut with a sharp and preferably also wet knife into sushi-pieces. Serve with soya sauce, sweet chili oder sweet and sour sauce.

Man braucht:

1 Blatt Reispapier

3 fertige Falafel, in Streifen geschnitten

  1. Sushi IS great! I wish i had more time to make it, as it takes me forever to do. < HREF="" REL="nofollow">PretaManger<> used to have a great vegetable sushi bento which was great – had a little bottle of shoyo, wasabi and even the pickled ginger, but my sister informed me the other day that they’ve changed their recipe for the worse, (I haven’t been for awhile, so I’ve not been able to check for myself). She lives pretty close to london, so I go there a lot, but I’m closer to Birmingham myself.
